Experience Nebraska Butterflies
These are public access locations throughout Nebraska where you can experience the diversity of Nebraska butterflies. Click on the list below or the interactive map to sample locations where you can find amazing butterflies.
One stop at a location rarely allows you to experience all the species. Many butterfly species only fly for brief periods of the year and are highly sensitive to weather, preferring sunny, calm and warm conditions, so it may take a few stops at a location to see all its butterflies. In addition, it is common for there to be wild swings in butterfly populations, one year finding few or none of a species and another year finding them everywhere.
