Status: Occasional resident.
Larval Hostplant(s): Grape (Vitis), and Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus).
Range: Nationwide but largely absent from Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Broods/Flight Times: One or two broods depending on latitude.
Habitat: Woodlands and urban settings with grapevines nearby.
Avg. Wingspan: 2 1/4 – 2 1/2 Inches
Found at: Box Elder WMA, Gilbert-Baker WMA, Hackberry Creek WMA, Indian Cave SP, Rowe Sanctuary, Sidney Rest Area, Niobrara Valley Preserve, Wildcat Hills SRA, Willow Creek SRA.
Overwintering: As pupa in the soil.
