Range: Western United States extending eastward into the Nebraska panhandle.

Broods/Flight Times: One flight in mid to late summer.

Habitat: Pine woodlands

Avg. Wingspan: 2 3/4 – 4 Inches

Found at: Gilbert-Baker State Wildlife Management Area, Wildcat Hills State Recreation Area.

Overwintering: This species has a two year lifecycle, overwintering the first year as an early instar larva and the second year as a pupa in the ground.
