Range: Inhabits the southern half of Canada and the eastern half of the United States. It occurs statewide in Nebraska.
Larval Hostplant(s): Grasses: Poa, Avena and Agrostis species.
Broods/Flight Times: There are at least two flights. It has been recorded in Nebraska from April 28 – September 11.
Overwintering: As a caterpillar.
Habitat: This species frequents open areas including road sides, trails and dry river channels where they frequently perch on bare ground.
