Status: Very rare stray

Range: South America to Mexico, straying north from there.

Larval Hostplant(s): Jopoy, which does not occur near Nebraska.

Broods/Flight Times: Most likely to be encountered in late summer.

Overwintering: Not in our area.

Habitat: As a stray it could be found anywhere.

Avg. Wingspan: 1 13/16 – 2 1/8 inches

Found at: Furnas County

Similar Species: Various Duskywings (Erynnis sp) and Duskywings (Thorybes sp).

Notes: Doug Long found a single specimen in Furnas County on September 19, 2005. It remains the only record from our state.
