Status: Local resident, can be abundant when found.

Range: This species range is from southeastern United States north to Pennsylvania and west to Louisiana and eastern Nebraska. In Nebraska it can be found along the eastern edge of the state north to Cuming County.
Larval Hostplant(s): Paw Paw trees (Asimina triloba)
Broods/Flight Times: Triple brooded, adults from early May to late August.
Overwintering: As pupae.
Habitat: Found in woodland openings and borders where Paw Paws occur.
Avg. Wingspan: 2 1/2 – 4 inches
Found at: Indian Cave State Park, Fontenelle Forest
