Range: The Leda Hairstreak is a resident in portions of Nevada, California, Arizona, New Mexico and western Texas, south into Mexico.
Larval Hostplant(s): Mesquites
Broods/Flight Times: Triple brooded from May into November in AZ.
Overwintering: Does not occur in our area.
Habitat: Desert scrub landscapes.
Avg. Wingspan: 3/4 – 7/8 inch

Similar Species:
Notes: One specimen is known from the state, that being discovered by Jim Reiser on June 24 1989 along NE Highway 2 in Sheridan County. It is the northernmost record known for the continent.
