Status: Common breeding resident/stray. Overwintering status depends on the severity of the winter.

Range: Found from southern Canada south to Argentina. This species is found statewide in Nebraska.
Larval Hostplant(s): Mallows, predominately purple poppy mallow (Callirhoe involucrata).
Broods/Flight Times: Adults have been found from mid-April into mid-November.
Overwintering: Full grown larvae overwinter but probably not in our area.
Habitat: Common/abundant in a wide variety of habitats.
