Range: Found from southern British Columbia south to Baja Mexico and east through Colorado and Wyoming. The Nebraska record is from extreme western Nebraska (Scotts Bluff county).

Larval Hostplant(s): Grasses: Poa pratensis, Cynodon dactylon, Eragrostis trichodes, Agrostis and Festuca species.

Broods/Flight Times: Two flights at lower elevations (which should include Nebraska) May-June and August-September.

Overwintering: As pupae.

Habitat: Shortgrass and sagebrush prairies.

Avg. Wingspan: 7/8 – 1 1/4 inches

Found at: Scotts Bluff area

Notes: Represented in Nebraska from a single specimen taken from rabbitbrush blossoms in 1987.
