Range: A resident from Brazil north to extreme southern Texas. North of there it regularly strays to Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, and has been found as far north as Colorado and Nebraska.
Larval Hostplant(s): Mimosas from the Legume family. Cat Claw Sensitive Briar (Mimosa quadrivalvis) occurs in Nebraska.
Broods/Flight Times: Flies year round in south Texas where it is a permanent resident.
Overwintering: Does not overwinter in our area.
Habitat: No habitat preference as a stray.
Avg. Wingspan: 1 1/8 – 2 inches
