Range: The Eastern Pine Elfin is found in the eastern third of the United States and the southern half of Canada west into Alberta. It is a resident in eastern Missouri. Barber (1894) lists it from Nemaha County in Nebraska.

Larval Hostplant(s): Various Pines.

Broods/Flight Times: One spring flight, April and May in Missouri (Heitzman & Heitzman 1987)

Overwintering: As pupae.

Habitat: Pine forest edges and openings.

Avg. Wingspan: 1 – 1 1/4 inches
