Range: Western United States extending east to the far western portions of Nebraska and South Dakota.

Broods/Flight Times: One late summer flight in the second half of August.
Habitat: Eroded shale plains and sagebrush flats.

Similar Species: The wing margins and base of the Nevada Buck Moth are completely shaded in black.
