Status: Rare resident
Range: Eastern United States west to extreme eastern Nebraska and central Texas.
Larval Hostplant(s): Various trees, Sycamores (Platanus) at Indian Cave State Park and possibly oaks (Quercus sp.) in Nebraska.
NENHP Ranking: Not listed
Broods/Flight Times: Two broods. Most Nebraska records are June and August.
Habitat: Deciduous woodlands.
Avg. Wingspan: 3 – nearly 7 Inches
Found at: Indian Cave State Park, Fontenelle Forest.
Overwintering: As pupae underground.
