Range: The Eastern Pine Elfin is found in the eastern third of the United States and the southern half of Canada west into Alberta. It is a resident in eastern Missouri.

Broods/Flight Times: Single brooded in April and early May in Missouri (Heitzman, 1987)

Larval Hostplant(s): Pines (Pinus sp.)

Habitat: Pine forested areas

Found at:

Overwintering: As a pupa

Similar Species: Henry’s Elfin

Notes: The Nemaha County record is from the late 1890s
