Family: Papilionidae

Status: Local resident in southeastern Nebraska. Can become abundant

NENHP Ranking: S3, Tier 2

Range: This species range is from southeastern United States north to Pennsylvania and west to Louisiana and eastern Nebraska. In Nebraska it can be found along the eastern edge of the state north to Cuming County.

Broods/Flight Times: Triple brooded, adults from early May to late August

Larval Hostplant(s): Paw Paw trees (Asimina triloba)

Habitat: Found in woodland openings and borders

Found at: Indian Cave SP, Fontenelle Forest

Overwintering: As pupae
