Status: Uncommon breeding stray

NENHP Ranking: Not listed

Range: The Funereal Duskywing is found in southwestern United States east to Louisiana and north to Kansas and northern California. It has been recorded from eastern and southern Nebraska.

Broods/Flight Times: Nebraska records are from the July to September timeframe

Larval Hostplant(s): Various legumes including Black Medic and Alfalfa (Medicago lupulina and M. sativa),Lotus and Vicia species.

Habitat: As a stray it can occur anywhere

Found at:

Overwintering: Not in our area

Similar Species: This is the only Duskywing in our area with a white fringe on the hindwing
