Range: This species is tropical, with permanent populations in South America north into Texas. From there the species strays northward annually in varying numbers.

Broods/Flight Times: Has been found in the state from late April into November

Larval Hostplant(s): A wide variety of plants are utilized, violets being among them.

Habitat: As befits a stray with numerous hostplants it is at home almost anywhere
