Range: Eurasia, northern Africa and most of North America south of arctic areas. Reported from all parts of Nebraska.

Broods/Flight Times: Multiple broods after arrival. There are records from early April to early November.

Larval Hostplant(s): Stinging and wood nettles (Urtica dioica and Laportea canadensis), Pennsylvania pellitory (Parietaria pennsylvanica) and bog hemp (Boehmeria cylindrica) are recorded hostplants found in Nebraska.

Habitat: Found in most environments

Overwintering: Overwinter as adults as winters permit.
